I KEEP GETTING KICKED :bounce:

My name is REDRUM and I have played on your server a few times with a couple of your guys and was wondering if I could find out why I keep getting kicked over and over for TAG VIOLATION. Yes, I know my name of -xXx-REDRUM is very close to yours and could be mis interpeted but let me assure you it is not in any way a insult of any kind. The fact is simply that the -xXx- in my name is just that, part of my game name, not a tag in front that could be changed. I was in a clan xxxclan.com from 1999-2007 when we finally disbanded. I do not want to restart my in game XP hence I keep using my name. Any light that could be shed on this would be great. I have also tried joining your Vent ( I have one too) but as you know it is not possible without pass. and I understand the steps needed for that. I have been playing BF2 since '05 and have been around the block just a little. ty for making a post,i was not aware that we were having an issue with your in-game name.I will meet with the other elders to see what will done of this.
i also have my original clans tag as my in game name,and have had to explain to those who ask,so i will talk with them .

as far as the ventrilo is concerned,just get in game/squad up and chat with the members for awhile.

I had a conversation with the admin kicking you.
Now it is clear your tag is part of your name and your account was created some years ago.
This was a misunderstanding.

Well I guess the idea of me joining up with you guys was put to rest tonight as I see yet someone else has kicked me off the server. I cant beleive you really want a guy to give up 70k XP just to play on a server. Hell, its not like I have not seen 5-6 different tags on there for you guys anyway. so I guees its best to just walk away. You guys all have fun.

I'm sure it's irritating as hell Red. Please be patient. Apparently not everyone has gotten the memo. As far as the the different tags go, the =***= tag signifies clan elder and =xXx= is clan admin. If you have any problems in the future be sure to get the name that kicks\bans you and we will enlighten them of the situation. TBH I'm not sure what all the fuss is about, seeing how the prefix of your name is not even the same as our tags. If I'm not mistaken, there is an xXx infantry server out there that I and members of our clan have played on in the past. We didn't get kicked there and I would hate to think that they would get kicked if they found their way to our server.

yeah Fibtech, there is an IO server that has actually the tag -xXx- that i play on from time to time, they never bother me about my tag, nor have they ever asked me about it, but REDRUM you have to understand, our members are only doing what they think is right, untill we can get to all of them and let them know, you may run into to this issue from time to time... as it was said, just try and get the admins' name who kicked you, and we let him know. No one is in the wrong here, but it takes time to get the message across to everyone... you had to think of the possibility, when joing a server with a similar tag to your old clan, would harvest this issue. If you like our server then we welcome you to play, unfortunately we're not perfect, we're human, we have no instant telpathy to every clan member to advise them of your situation.

Mine isn't from my tag as do not have 1 yet. My problem is that I keep getting kicked over a ping in the 300 I have never had this problem before on your server and I do not have it on any other server. Are you guys having tech problem with bandwidth or something? But could be interesting watching a tracert from your computer to our ip server to find where the problem is.
