What has happened?

i am wondering what has happened to the =xXx= server? Whenever I have looked for it, it has been completely empty? I went in it last week, and found 1 admin, idle. I sure miss playing on your server.

I have to say that I have been real busy at work lately and have not had the time to play as much I have in the past but it sure looks like things are not going well. I am not sure if this is the end or not but it sure does not look good.


I know that jbuffethed tried to get the VOIP working and was unable to get it working (not his fault) but that with that down the game just isn't the same since you can't talk to your team mates (without using Vent).

Hope everyone is doing well though and if I do not see you on our server, I hope to catch you online somewhere.

Another reason might be that the server is no longer set to WAKE ISLAND, which is what a lot of us would like to play.

The people that were actually playing in our server agreed to a change. Its not hard to put it back to Wake is someone is hurt about it. All of us still play, just on different maps. Cant really complain if yah arent in there.

I don't think anyone was complaining.... It's not just the server which has changed, some of us are unable to use vent. As I understand it vent doesn't work in game at all. I can't join the vent server any longer, message "Guest accounts are not enabled."
So don't think we are complaining, I have other players who were constants on the =xXx= server ask me almost every time I join another server what happened and I don't have any idea. I have played on the =xXx= server for years, and would like it to return to the thriving community it was before the 1.5 patch. The 24/7 wake worked, if we wanted to play another map we went to another server that played that map 24/7 seemed like a good idea to me!

I have no control over the vent. Did it stop working after you put on the =xXx=? Have to talk to Mully.

As far as the server goes, I put it back to Wake. We'll see what happens. Im doin the CC off trial and error. No one really stepped up after Blanco left, so I did. Nothing was backed up. The whole server got wiped. We've been waiting on Wolf for support with the VOIP, but their tech support is pretty worthless it seems. Ive heard the same from others as well who switched from Wolf to other server providers. I got a lot of the warnings and autoadmin off of screenshots because nothing was backed up. The ban list is gone as well. Other than Mulley helping me get this going, no one has really stepped up and part of our leadership has disappeared.

I guess we'll just ride it out until our lease is up. No clue what will happen after that. It was paid for 6 months when Blanco left, so.

So i got how we solve this... PLAY! I feel for you who are busy. But for thos who are playin on other servers should come back to OUR server. I love playin with u all and i wanna get shit rollin here. As of now im always gonna be on OUR server. I know no other. So there will always be someone in there. Come join me yall!

WTF???? Blanco left? damn, what the hell has happened... I've been dealing with a lot of family issues, the IRS, and been working so much I get two or three days a month off at the moment trying to get everything back to normal, didn't know everything was falling apart like this, I noticed the last couple of times I've gotten to play no one was in our server, but I played with a couple of people who were o vent, and they told me where they were, and joined them... I hate to see us fall apart guys, I know I'm not much of a contributor right now, but hell, I love the hell out of you guys and our clan... can someone give me a run down on what all happened?, why Blanco left? etc?

And, now the server's rating is dropping like a rock (69 percentile)

This is one of the reasons I prefer not to join in clans. Kind of like doing business with family, it always ends with bad feelings and hurt. This is very sad, as I enjoyed the server because of the way it was ran, and the great bunch of people who ran it and played in it. Hopefully, something can beworked out, or another server with the same bunch of good people will be forth-coming.

When founders, primary admins and bill payers fall out of harmony it can only go down hill.

I think you're right, someone will eventually step up and assume personal financial responsibilty for paying the server leases and he will delegate admin authority once he has verbal commitment from contributors. Time is definitely running out.

The past contributions of our founding and admining have been huge and it's unfortunate that the process has to start over.

Well from what I understand the people that have control over the server and The account is in their name [name's] No longer support the server, Play on the server or give a shit about it.
There is no way anybody can take this server over Without full cooperation of the account holder [holder's] Which is obviously not forthcoming.
Therefor this server is dead and we have to move on.
Blanco Is probably the best server admit I have ever seen, He is always on the job And treats everybody fairly, And RESPECTFULLY.
And he has started a new server It is called The Friendly Clan =TFC= [Maybe not the best name] But I'm sure he would welcome you all there as he has welcomed me and made me an admit.
But ultimately the choice is up to the individual.
I have made my choice I hope some of you follow.

I have to post this.After long thought and waiting for hours to get a game started on the server,iI have had enough.It is time for me to move on,I have not played much lately,and almost lost intrest in playing bf2.

I know that alot of you have joined xXx by my invite,and may feel like saying WTF,but lets be honest with our selves,what are we doing here,sitting idle on a server we can barly control.

I have meet alot of really great people here,and hope to keep on nkowing you in the future.I do want t give a big Thank you to Buff for all your hard work,and sorry for getting banned from wolf servers,but atleast you were able to get that far.

so that's it??? Well, Doug I 100% AGREE WITH YOU about Blanco... I hate the thought of just abandoning everyone because the server is having troubles, I'm more loyal than that, but it seems like all my friends here are going to move on anyways... doesn't so much seem so unloyal... I'll have to ponder this.

I have to agree that this seems like the end since there is apparently not a fix in the works for the server. I guess I am going to delete my =xXx= tags and just look to play with the friends that I have made while playing BF2 on other servers.

well, I've went ahead and made my switch, and dropped my =xXx= tags, It's been a pleasure, but most of the people that I enjoyed most playing with have made the move as well, so it wasn't as hard to make the switch... I leave my condolences for this clan, I have met a lot of great people here, even those who arent leaving, and for those not leaving, my best wishes go out to you in saving this server, it was exceptional in it's time, I still don't completely understand what happened here, and unfortunately I was never given the opportunity to get close to DogFighter, who've I've always had great respect for, so I don't know exactly why he has seemed to abandon this clan... but I guess to each his own. I have nothing bad to say about anyone here, only good, please don't have any hard feelings, I dont.

I've seen this clan and the two previous ones 50% of us belonged to go through rough shit (T.S.H., G.O.W.) and now xXx. I've put alot of myself into bf2 and the people i've been around. I'm 19 now. I started when I was just 16. About 1/7th of my time into it. That's a real commitment. Realistically, I love what we've had and eveyone young and new, but I'm resigning from really being a bf2 player. And the romanticism of "going down with the ship" is wonderful but we've got to be nomadic, i'll go where my friends are, if not to play, then to know where to go to when I need someone to talk to.
