Ventrillo

I am having some trouble with vent. When I press my vent talk key in game it spikes my ping to 500-1000 depending on how long I talk, more than just a quick sentence and I get kicked for high ping. I 've screwed with the settings a little to no avail. Any suggestions would be helpful. I have DSL and a pretty new computer set up, usually have next to nothing running at the same time as BF2, my in-game VOIP works without problems. Anyway this is why I rarely speak on vent other than to say Fuck! or call Akilles a hacker.....

Mind if I ask what OS your running?

If your running Vista, things run in the backfroung if your not running it as an administrator.
For XP im no longer an expert and would have to ask my dad, because he still loves XP.

Yes, I'm running Vista (and I hate it). Most of my programs I have running as an admin, but not vent, I will try that if that is what you are suggesting. I don't know Vista as well as I should.
